Hobgoblins are an offshoot race of the Goblins, and are similar in appearance. They are humanoid monsters with orange skin. Their prominent features are long noses and large pointed ears.
They possess human level intelligence and are very creative. Hobgoblins are capable of forging their own weapons. They can also speak the common human language.
Hobgoblin mages are not uncommon. They usually accompany Hobgoblin raiding parties.
The mortal enemy of the Hobgoblin is the Goblin. For some unknown reason the two similar races are overly hostile towards one another. They WILL fight any Goblins they encounter to the death.
Hobgoblins are less likely to scrounge armor and weapons as they can manufacture their own.
They tend to be worthy opponents in battle. They will only enter a fight that they think they can win. They can be reasoned with.
